An Earth Day was held in STPRI again for the second time on 25th November 2010 and a competition between houses was one of the activity done at the STPRI arena

Each houses was given the task to creat a model of their own using recycle materials.

On the Sunday morning of 7th March 2010, the STPRI Carreer & Councelling Department have arranged an educational visit to a Padi Field in Kampong Pengkalan Tangsi Lamunin, Tutong

Students from other schools from Sekolah Menengah Kluster 1 such as SOASC, SMJA & SM Manglait have also participated in the visit. Including the STPRI students, Teachers and from other schools, there are altogether a total of 130 people joining this visit.

VISIT TO PULAU KUARAMAN

On the 14th February, STPRI paid a visit to Pulau Kuraman which involves STPRI Teachers Co-organized by the Geography Department and Empire Hotel & Country Club.

Visiting the nearby "Nelayan Village"...filled wuth very friendly villagers and happy children playing around and tour guiding the teachers around the village...

Back to the resort..with the "chef" preparing the food!!
Special menu: Barbeque Chicken and Beef...emmmmm ;)

after the lunch the teachers moved on to the "jetty" and hiking for sight seeing..

...the main event i.e best activity of the visit was going to a nearby pulau (Pulau Mayat) for snorkling...

Returning to the Empire Hotel & Country Club, some of the teachers continued with fun & game activities - the Flying Fish Ride... a very thrilling and fun experienced..

As a replacement for "Remedial Class" last year, there will be "Help Classes" this year which will be starting on 10th February 2009 (in the afternoon sessions).

The level classes involved will be the Upper secondary MA 5 and Lower secondary MB 3 students (exam classes).

Upper Secondary: MA 5E, MA 5F, MA 5G, MA 5H, MA 5I, MA 5J & MA 5K.
Lower Secondary: MB 3F, MB 3G, MB 3H, MB 3I, MB 3J & MB 3K

[note: Letters are already passed around to the students involved as memos to the parents, teachers be informed].

Time Slots For " Help Classes":
Period 1 & 2 = [1.30 pm - 2.25 pm]

Chinese New Year Celebration in STPRI

On the 7th February 2009, STPRI held the Chinese NEW YEAR in the STPRI Hall. The chinese students wearing "Red" for the occasion alson line up for getting ready and also welcoming the other students and teachers into the STPRI Hall.

STPRI's very own LIONS!! Roar! .....Perform by three sporting Male Teachers....well done and it was a great spontaneous performance..one of the best yet...

There were also quizzes to win some Red Packets from Mrs Jenny....uuhhh money..money...

Finally the Real Lion Dancers came giving an exciting performance..although our Principal intended that these as surprise, most of the teachers and even the students were already expecting the Lions to do the performance! Still it was an exciting and Fun show! Yeah..

No need to worry ladies these Lions won't bite...i hope?!

MATHEMATICS DEPT "SHARING SESSION"

On the 4th February 2009 (Wednesday) STPRI was hosting a "Sharing Sessions" (Professional Development) conference room 2 at STPRI . The Sharing Session is about "Mathematicals & Mental Computations skills among Year 7 students".

The session was started by the reading of surah Al-Fatihah by Ckg Suhardi bin Hj Mumin(STPRI). Mr Lee (Development Co-curriculum Department) was also among the special Guest.

On the next day, most of the ground floor classes especially the Year 7 classrooms (Block G) were flooded. Most of the students were asked to clear out their tables and chairs outside at the STPRI arena, giving way for the janitors to clear the water and washed off the dirt.

The students were also involved in cleaning their classrooms as well as some of the teachers and even some from the Admin section including the Acting Principal were also participating in this campaign.

Due to the flood and heavy rains it has caused a lot of disruption in transportation and a few residential areas in most part of Brunei. These have affected a few of the students of STPRI who were unfortunately couldn't attend to school. So we hope for safety and good well being for those were affected due to the flood.

Last but not least a very special THANKS to Traffic Police men and women in helping the everyday traffic at STPRI.

FLOOD IN STPRI - January 20th '09

On the evening of the 20th January, Brunei experiences a lot of heavy Rains, and (from the Brunei Times News) it was recorded that the rainfall was at 167.7 mm and had caused major floods especially in BSB. Our school were also one of the places that experienced the floods.

Movie Mania

As one of the extra curricular Activities (after end year exam Activities) the school held a "Movie Mania" at the Dewan STPRI for the students. Movie mania is the courtesy for the students to have the chance to watch a Movie. This year movie special was the "Kung Fu Panda". [Dated: 18th November 2008]

Movie Synopsis:

Kejohanan Sukan Guru-guru 2008

The Final Kejohanan Sukan Guru Sekolah Menengah & Maktab Kerajaan 2008 Ke-6 (Anjuran JAPTIM) was held on the 9th November 2008 at one of our neighbouring school, Padang SOAS College. The participants involved within this event are the Teachers of Secondary Schools according to their Zone (1 - 4).

The event started with the marching teachers according to their Schools and appropriate Zones.

Zone 1 [Yellow]
Zone 2 [ Red]
Zone 3 [Green]
Zone 4 [Blue]

The Honored Guest socializing with the teachers participating in the marching.

As for the final event was the final football inter-zone tournament between Zone 1 and Zone 3. The Zone 3 came out as Champion with the winning score of 4 -1 against the opposing team.Congratulation to Zone 3 football team and also to Zone 2 as the runner-up and showing their best performance.

At the same time, the final event for the inter-zone Netball competition was also held up at the STPRI Arena between the Zone 1 and Zone 3 (below). The participants in action. The Zone 3 Netball Team won the competition showing the finest play against the zone 1 (runner-up).

The "Leaders" were also enjoying as well as giving their up most support during the final Netball competition.

On the 18th October 2008 STPRI celebrated the Teachers' Day @ the Hotel Orchid Garden (Vanda Restaurant).

Also among the guests are the special guests Ckg Hjh Gambar Bte Gapar (Right) and Ckg Hjh Noramalina Bte Arif (Left), both were the former Principal of STPRI.

The function were also set up with Games and Puzzles such as Word Anagrams, Soduku (gives a lot of headaches), Making Origami and Teachers' Day Cards, and the most fun and hilarious was the game of Treasure Hunt!! There were also "Lucky Stars" and prizes given for the luck Teachers..
